The 45" medium-heavy baitcaster is one of the most durable and toughest rods available for ice fishing. If you are targeting giant pike, sturgeon, catfish or world-class trout, this rod will be essential for your arsenal. The longer cork handle is crucial for giving you plenty of space to apply muscle when fighting some of the biggest freshwater fish through the ice. If you are jigging, dead sticking or using it for a live bait rig, the 45MHS thick tapered blank will give you the rod strength needed to land your next trophy fish.

  • Crafted from our proprietary IX glass composite blanks purpose-built for ice anglers. We find the lock in point on each blank to reduce blank torque when setting the hook.
  • New lightweight, durable stainless steel frames and rings provide the utmost strength on the ice. Thinner double swaged insert rings provide a larger guide opening to eliminate friction and reduce ice-ups on the coldest days.
  • Upgraded guide train spacing offers improved weight distribution when under load.
  • Custom made reel seats with high grade graphite/nylon construction and stainless steel hoods cushioned hoods.
  • Thicker AAA cork handles designed for ice fishing with Haat logo etched into the handle and foregrip.

Great rod

I've used this rod twice now on flaming gorge wy. I love the feel of the rod as well as the action for the bigger fish!! Just ordered the med rod for the same lake and can't wait to put it to the test on some big Lakers. Well worth every penny!!

By far my favorite lake trout rod

The 45 MH is amazing I paired it with the curado 200 and it is a power house already 10 lakers over 20 lbs on it and many more to come

Amazing rod!

I absolutely love the 45" med/heavy casting. Have caught multiple 40"+ pike with them.

Lake trout rod

Works very well, has a lot of backbone fore bigger fish, yet flexible enough for 8-10 lb lakers. Would recommend

Just get one already

I just wanted to add to what everyone one else comments on these rods... They are AMAZING. I got the 45" medium heavy casting rod for Lakers on great slave Lake. I was on the fence between this one and the extra heavy because great slave holds some trophy trout... I am glad I went with the medium heavy as it has enough backbone to handle heavy fish and manages head shakes beautifully. The longer thicker cork handle makes playing aggressive fish a dream. Also worth mentioning they are beautiful rods esthetically. Do yourself a favour and get one!

Awesome rods built tough

Put this rod to the test jigging big bondy baits for some monster Lakers. It got the job done landing over 15 Lakers in this trip, the biggest being around 28 pounds. unreal rods might have to get a few more in the near future.

Could not wait for ice on big lake, landed a few smallies a 3lb Hybrid Striper and a 10lb pure Striper drifting live bait. Handled the Striper like butter.
